Connecticut Appeal – Personal Jurisdiction
Attorney Involved | Walter J. Klimczak, III
The Connecticut Appellate Court recently affirmed the decision of the Superior Court dismissing the case against the defendant for lack of personal jurisdiction. The claim arose out of a Vermont real estate transaction wherein a Connecticut resident claimed ownership over the disputed funds. On appeal, Walter Klimczak successfully argued that the clients, who were based in Vermont, were not subject to personal jurisdiction pursuant to Connecticut General Statutes Section 52-59b(a)(3) and the dismissal for lack of personal jurisdiction was upheld.
