Pedestrian – Defense Verdict

Attorneys Quinn Kelley and Mike Johnson received a defense verdict in Grafton Superior Court after an 8 day trial. The case involved a pedestrian that was struck by a vehicle owned by an auto dealership when the vehicle was backing from a parking space. Plaintiff alleged that as a result of the accident she was knocked to the ground and suffered an annular disc tear at L4-5, a tear of her ACL and a rotator cuff tear. She also claimed an on-set of agoraphobia and exacerbation of severe depression, post-traumatic stress disorder and anxiety as a result of the accident. The plaintiff had alleged $2.6 million in special damages related to the accident. After an 8 day trial, where plaintiff presented 11 witnesses, including 5 experts, the jury returned a defense verdict.
