Dawn M. Piccirilli is a Shareholder at Boyle | Shaughnessy Law whose practice is concentrated in civil litigation. Dawn is an experienced and successful trial attorney with expertise in the areas of product liability, premises liability, hospitality litigation, employment and discrimination litigation, sexual and physical abuse litigation, education and disabilities law, construction defect and accident litigation, motor vehicle and trucking accident litigation, mortuary litigation, business litigation and bad faith litigation.
Dawn is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. She has also been admitted pro hac vice into numerous other jurisdictions in both state and federal courts throughout New England. She recently litigated a class action, in Connecticut, New Hampshire and Maine. In addition, she was recently appointed Special Assistant Attorney General to defend the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office in employment and discrimination litigation in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
Dawn has extensive trial experience, and has received defense verdicts in numerous cases involving claims of wrongful termination / retaliation / discrimination, product liability / breach of warranty, slip and fall / charitable limitations, and nuisance / premises liability. She has also successfully argued before the Massachusetts Appeals Court.
Dawn has been designated by several national companies as preferred counsel and frequently works with companies on pre-litigation claims. In addition, she has been retained by multiple corporations for contract review, and to provide advice and consultation relating to internal policies, employment conflicts, relationships and negotiations with third-party vendors, and internal investigations and reporting requirements, and individualized education plans and process. She has also negotiated separation agreements and other employment contracts for companies and individuals.
Dawn is the Co-Chair of the Boyle | Shaughnessy Law Women’s Initiative. She has lectured and served as a panelist on a wide variety of civil litigation topics throughout the nation, and has given several webinars for claims professionals and corporations.
Prior to joining Boyle | Shaughnessy Law, Dawn served as a Special Assistant District Attorney in Middlesex County, Massachusetts.
Dawn is a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College and of New England School of Law, where she served as the Jessup International Moot Court Coordinator.
