Nicholas B. Kosiavelon

Nick Kosiavelon serves as Co-Chair of Boyle Shaughnessy’s Subrogation & Recovery Department and is Chair of the Firm’s Environmental Department. Nick joined the firm in September 2003 and has successfully litigated and tried cases throughout New England in both state and federal court. He concentrates his practice in the prosecution and defense of complex property damage claims arising out of fires, explosions, mechanical failures and structural collapses, construction claims and environmental claims. Nick practiced as a chemical engineer before attending law school and he applies his technical experience throughout his practice.
Prior to Boyle | Shaughnessy Law, Nick worked as an Assistant Attorney General for Massachusetts with the Environmental Strike Force. As a prosecutor, he was responsible for state-wide enforcement of all Massachusetts environmental laws. Nick also worked as a Chemical Engineer for Johnson Matthey, Inc. before attending law school, supervising chemical processes at the world’s largest catalytic converter plant.
Nick began his career as a trial attorney as a prosecutor and he has continued with his trial practice to the present. Over the course of his legal career, Nick has tried over forty cases to verdict, including property damage, environmental and product liability.
